Phone not charging

I got my Samsung upgrade on 8th August, it now isn’t charging or turning on - I’ve tried cleaning the charging port as it before it was saying their was a foreign material in the port but now it’s saying nothing (I’ve also tried multiple different chargers that work on other things). Does anyone know how I could get it fixed or if I would be able to get a replacement or help for free at curries because I haven’t had it long? (I’m not sure on how long the coverage lasts and I’m low on money) I hope that all makes sense - any help appreciated.

    Hi @Hannah37,

I’m sorry to hear that your Samsung phone has stopped charging and is no longer turning on, especially as you’ve only had it since August.

As the handset is still within Samsung’s 24-month manufacturer warranty, we’d recommend contacting Samsung directly so they can assess the fault and arrange a repair where covered under the warranty.

You can contact Samsung Support here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/

Please be aware that the warranty covers manufacturing faults, but accidental or liquid damage may not be covered.

    Hi Gemma,

Thank you so much! Would I be able to take it in to a curry store instead and get a free repair or does it need to specifically be through samsung?

    Hi @Hannah37,

    You’re very welcome.

You can certainly take the phone into a Currys store to see whether they’re able to assist with the repair. However, we can’t guarantee that Currys will be able to carry this out free of charge.

If they advise that there would be a charge for the repair, we’d recommend contacting Samsung directly, as your handset should still be within the manufacturer’s warranty and they’ll be best placed to assess the fault and confirm whether it’s covered.

    Regards,
