physical sim not recognised after deleting esim.

Just arrived back from two weeks abroad where I've used an eSIM. Now I'm back, my phone isn't recognising my eSIM. Looks like this happens a lot and there's something iD Mobile can do there end?

I've deleted the eSIM and reset mobile network settings

Hi @I don't want it

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with your eSIM after returning from abroad.

If your iD Mobile eSIM is no longer being recognised, even after deleting the eSIM and resetting your network settings, it’s likely that a replacement eSIM will need to be issued.

📱 First, try requesting a new eSIM

If you’re still able to access your account:

  • Log into the iD Mobile app or website
  • Go to SIM & Device settings
  • Select Replace SIM / eSIM
  • Follow the steps to download a new eSIM profile

⚠️ Please only request one eSIM replacement, as requesting multiple eSIMs can cause activation issues.

💬 If you cannot request one

If you’re unable to access the app/website or the eSIM request fails, you will need to contact:

  • Live Chat, or
  • Our social media direct message support team

They’ll be able to:

  • Verify your account
  • Issue a replacement eSIM
