Question

ported number not showing when texting

I've ported my number over from O2 however when I text the interim number given by ID mobile comes up.

I've gone into message settings and the correct number is displayed in phone number but in the system field it shows another number, the field is also greyed out so I can't alter it to my number ?.

    Hi ​@BenRB,

     

    We are so sorry to hear of the issues that you are currently facing. Please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

     

    For Android:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Tap General Management
    3. Tap Reset
    4. Select Reset network settings


    For iPhone:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap Phone
    • Tap My Number
    • Delete the old number
    • Enter the new/current number
    • Tap Save


    Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap Messages
    3. Turn iMessage OFF
    4. Go to Settings > General
    5. Tap Reset
    6. Choose Reset Network Settings
    7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
    8. Tap Messages
    9. Turn iMessage ON again


    Your iPhone should now recognise the SIM and verify your number to get it working again.
