I have a split porting issue. Calls in and out on ported number are fine. Texts in and out are on original sim number. I have tried all the recomended options on here, changed sim to another phone with the same problem occuring. I have tried the bot but no joy. So whats next?

    Hi @FrankieM,

I'm really sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your mobile number. Please try the steps below, depending on the type of phone you have:

    For Android:

    • Open Settings
    • Tap General Management
    • Tap Reset
    • Select Reset network settings

    For iPhone:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap Phone
    • Tap My Number
    • Delete the old number
    • Enter the new number
    • Tap Save

Then follow these steps to refresh iMessage:

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap Messages
    3. Turn iMessage OFF
    4. Go to Settings > General
    5. Tap Reset
    6. Choose Reset Network Settings
    7. Once your iPhone restarts, go back to Settings
    8. Tap Messages
    9. Turn iMessage ON again

Your iPhone should now recognise the new SIM and verify your number.

    Regards,

Unfortunatley, it didnt work. I will be taking the phone into a local Currys store next week, so hopefully I can get it sorted there. Thank You for answering my question.

    Hi @FrankieM,

We're sorry to hear that didn't resolve the issue.

Taking the phone into your local Currys store is a good next step. We'd also recommend contacting our Customer Service team via Live Chat to request a replacement SIM, as this may help if the issue is related to the SIM rather than the handset.

You can contact them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

We hope you're able to get everything sorted soon.

    Regards,

    Hi Gemma M,

As I said, I went to the local Currys Store and got a replacement sim card. The chap couldnt have been more helpful. I went home phoned the number he gave me, and had it activated in about 30mins. No more problems everything working as it should. Once again thanks for your reply.
