Purchasing a new contract instead of upgrading

I am opening a new id contract with a better phone before my previous one has run out - am I able to keep my number and transfer any remaining balance onto my new account?

or do I have to terminate my old contract?

No, you cannot transfer a number from one iD Mobile account to another. Your choices are:

  1. Return the new contract under the cooling off period and upgrade your existing account.
  2. Cancel your existing account
  3. Port your existing number out to another network and then port it back over to your new iD Mobile account.
