I am following the instructions to activate a replacement sim.
The activation is in progress and I am supposed to receive a text once it’s complete. Will that come on my new sim or old, in other words should I put the new sim in the phone now or wait for the text?
I decided to put the new sim in and got the text to say that it was now active.
However I still have the same problem, sim settings say “unknown number” and I can’t dial out or receive calls. Suspect the problem wasn’t the sim after all.
But as far as this question, I don’t think it matters if you swap the sim before or after the activation request. Would be nice if the instructions were clearer though.
