Setting up a new iPhone 16 Plus...can't make calls or receive messages?

I’ve just set up a new iPhone 16 Plus on an iD monthly contract & transferred all my data from my old iPhone quite easily following the instructions. However, for some reason I can’t make calls, verify bank cards for Apple wallet or receive messages. 

 

Any suggestions to resole this would be appreciated.

Make sure the phone number in the iOS Phone app is correct, ​@SIM.J68

Check Settings > Apps > Phone > My Number.
