Question

sim card isn't working after using e-sim

I used an e-sim on holiday, which I've now deleted. However, I can now no longer use my data or make phone calls or send sms with my iD Sim.

It doesn't let me click on the toggles for calls or messages.

Can anyone help?

    Hi @kb170

There seems to be an issue when swapping from a physical SIM to an ESim, when abroad, and then back again.

It seems your best option is to visit your nearest Currys store to get a replacement SIM card or connect with the Live Chat to get one sent out (The Live Chat team are available 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday) :-

     https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

When you contact the Live Chat :-

Type ‘talk to a person’ in the dialogue box and this will bypass the unhelpful chatbot.

Please be patient as the agents handle a few conversations at any one time so there will be a delay in connecting with an available agent and also any replies to your query.

You can also contact iD Mobile by sending a private message via their Socials (Facebook, X or Instagram)

    iD Mobile social media accounts:-

    or email socialqueries@idmobile.co.uk.

    Hope this helps x

    Hi @kb170,

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your iD Mobile service after using an eSIM while on holiday.

We'd recommend trying a network settings reset first, as this can often resolve issues where your device isn't reconnecting to your iD Mobile SIM correctly after switching between SIMs.

If the issue continues after the reset and you're still unable to use mobile data, make calls or send texts, please get in touch with our Customer Service team via Live Chat. They'll be able to run further checks on your line and, if necessary, arrange for a replacement SIM.

You can contact them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

    Regards,
