Have you tried doing a manual roam under network selection. Is the iD SIM switched on in the phone settings if you used an airalo eSIM you may have that as the primary SIM and need to change it back to the iD one?

Are you able delete the foreign ESIM? If your handset still won’t accept it, we can send you a replacement SIM, or you can pick one up in any Currys store.

So i deleted the esim reset network connections etc. In the end i went currys. The boy there said over the last 6 weeks they've had loads of ppl who have left the UK and on their return their ID mobile sim isn't working irrelevant of having an esim.

Yes i did and its all sorted now but it sounds like there's an issue if you leave the UK

This has happened to my son today who has an ID mobile sim. We downloaded Airalo eSim, went to Italy where he used the Airalo eSim, came back to the UK today and his ID mobile sim has disappeared off his mobile. We deleted the Airalo eSim but that didn't bring back his ID mobile sim either. Now he is networkless, cannot use his phone, and it's beyond stressful
