Why does SMS authentication/ one time passcodes not work I check several times on different apps and my verification messages never send I’m so frustrated right now and have missed crucial oppurtunitys

Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear this has been happening, especially if it has caused you to miss important opportunities.

 

Issues with receiving SMS authentication codes or one time passcodes can sometimes happen due to:

  • A recent number transfer/port still updating across networks
  • Network registration issues
  • Message filtering or blocking settings on the handset
  • Delays with the app/service sending the verification texts
  • SIM provisioning or messaging feature issues on the account

 

We’d recommend trying the following:

  • Restart the handset completely
  • Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF again
  • Ensure you can receive normal text messages from other numbers
  • Check that spam/filtering apps are not blocking messages
  • Perform a network reset

 

iPhone

  • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Android

  • Settings > General Management/System > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Please note this will remove saved WiFi and Bluetooth connections.
