SMS Text messages are being received BUT not sent…

I am a new customer to ID and took the opportunity to use the eSIM facility.

However, now I have ‘successfully’ loaded the eSIM I am unable to send SMS text messages and yet, successfully receive them.

i have run numerous resets and attempts to try and resolve this but have failed; what can you do to assist?

@Gaz1zaUK

Step 1: Go to Settings

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap on "Cellular" or "Mobile Data"

This section shows all active SIMs (both physical and eSIMs).

Step 3: Look under "Cellular Plans"

Each SIM (physical or eSIM) will be listed as a separate plan.

You’ll see labels like Primary, Secondary, or custom names you’ve set (e.g., Work, Personal).

If you only see one plan, you have one SIM active.

If you see two or more, you’re using Dual SIM (via eSIM or physical + eSIM).

Try these different options.

If you would like some further support with this, please get in touch via our Socials (Facebook or Instagram), Live Chat, Community or you can email us at socialqueries@idmobile.co.uk and outline the details of your query, we would love the opportunity to put things right.

Thanks Nadia, but no, there are no such options on my phone. I also don’t use FB or IG or any social media platforms so will have to try the chat but 2 attempts have proven unhelpful. I’m still within 14 days of my contract so will consider terminating my plan if this can’t be resolved.

What version of iOS are you using on your iPhone, @Nadia W?
