Switching number has not happened correctly?

I switched my sons number to ID from 3 and the port was confirmed on 17th September however his phone still shows his old number on the phone and he cannot receive or send texts or calls.

Its an iphone 14 and i’ve seen other discussions suggesting something with the settings but these were to do with esims. His old and new sims are both physical sim cards.

Hi ​@elmogm,

I am so sorry regarding the inconvenience you have received, however I do suggest you try the below steps, and it should resolve the issue:

After your SIM has been Ported, there is a few steps to register your new number, kindly follow the below instructions to register your new number on your device:

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap Phone

3. Tap My Number

4. Use the delete button to remove the old number

5. Use the keypad to enter the new number

6. Tap Save

7. Restart the iPhone
