Texts are not arriving, e.g. OTP messages

I see many have had this issue before. For the last 4-5 days, I have not been receiving texts sent to my phone. This is blocking my ability to log in to any services (and these days there are many) that require 2FA. This used to work, but doesn’t any more.

I have turned Airplane mode on/off, restarted the phone, no joy. With dozens of saved wifi passwords, etc., I am loath to reset my network settings, especially since this isn’t guaranteed to work.

Given the repeated recurrence of this problem, what are ID Mobile doing to remedy the situation?

I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when it’s affecting your ability to access important services with 2FA.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that may help:

-Check signal/network: Make sure your phone is connected to the mobile network (not just Wi-Fi).

-Restart your phone: Sometimes a full restart can help the network register your number properly.

-Check message center number: Ensure your SMS settings have the correct message center number for iD Mobile.

-Check for blocked numbers or apps: Make sure no apps or settings are blocking incoming texts.

-Try the SIM in another phone: This can help determine if the issue is device-specific.

With regard to your suggestions

Done, makes no difference whether wifi is switched on or off.

-Restart your phone: Sometimes a full restart can help the network register your number properly.

Done, as I said in my original post. No difference.

-Check message center number: Ensure your SMS settings have the correct message center number for iD Mobile.

I read numerous posts from other subscribers that suggested that as a fix, so I had already checked it. It’s correct.

-Check for blocked numbers or apps: Make sure no apps or settings are blocking incoming texts.

Same, nothing is blocked. It worked until a week or so ago, then stopped.

-Try the SIM in another phone: This can help determine if the issue is device-specific.

I moved my SIM, but the other phone would not activate on the ID network.

Any other suggestions are welcome.
