Does a new eSIM let me keep the same number?

Hi @Fraser2411 ,

I’m really sorry you’re having trouble transferring your eSIM to your new Apple iPhone. I understand how frustrating this can be.

If your phone is showing “contact iD”, please try these steps for iD Mobile:

Make sure the phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data during eSIM activation
Restart the phone and try scanning or downloading the eSIM profile again
Check Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM and follow prompts
Ensure the old eSIM profile has been removed from the previous device

You may also request another SIM card which will allow you to keep the same number.

I did the above but now when I request a new eSIM it tries to send me a code which I can’t receive as neither phone has the number attached to it.

can you send the code via email?
