Question

unable to obtain pac code

Hi all,

I signed up for an eSIM contract only. Start date was supposed to have been yesterday. But I found the process difficult so I went into the chat and said cancel it. I ended up receiving a new phone number which I hadn’t asked for, I had given a pac to retain my old number. I never activated the eSIM with this new number as I cancelled before the start date. I received confirmation of the cancellation.

But I then found out the transfer had gone ahead anyway and my original pay as you go contract with Vodafone switched off.

i contacted live web chat, not much use to be honest. Vodafone say they need a pac code to switch me back, I can’t get a PAC code from Id Mobile because the one I gave them is within 30 days. I feel stuck - I need my number back on as I have hospital appointments that come through on it.

any helpful suggestions please, I am desperate due to medical treatments and appointments so need my phone back on asap.

Also to add, I can’t receive any text messages or OTO passcodes because I don’t have any live contract!

    Hi @Fletchie,

I’m really sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve experienced, especially given the importance of keeping your number active for your hospital appointments.

As the number transfer has already taken place despite the cancellation, this will need to be looked into at an account level. Please contact our Live Chat team again, who can access the account and investigate the status of the number transfer and what options are available to get your number back up and running.

Please also make the adviser aware that the matter is urgent due to ongoing medical treatment and hospital appointments.

    Regards,
