unable to send sms in the uk

The problems with this provider keep getting worse. The latest one is that I can’t even send messages to my boss now and those are work texts so they are important. How can I fix the issue? I tried several times and did not have this problem except briefly when I switched to my old number.

I’m really sorry to hear this, I understand how important it is to be able to send work messages, and I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing. 

To try and resolve the issue, please:

 

  1. Reset your network settings
  1. Restart your phone
  1. Remove your SIM card, gently clean it, and reinsert it

If the issue still persists, please check that your number is saved correctly in your phone settings. The steps can vary depending on your device make and model, so you may need to follow the relevant instructions below for your phone:

 

For iPhone:

 

1. Go to Settings
2. Tap Phone
3. Tap My Number
4. Use the delete button to remove the old number
5. Use the keypad to enter the new number
6. Tap Save
7. Restart the iPhone

 

For Android:

 

For every Android phone, regardless of manufacturer, you'll be able to find your phone number if you go to Settings > About Phone or About Device > Status > My phone number. Some Android phones will have SIM or SIM card status listed within Status.
For using Message App, Change the phone number associated with the Messages app: Open the Messages app. Tap More More and then Settings and then Advanced. Select Phone number, then edit the number to the correct
phone number associated with your SIM card. Tap OK.
If still have issue, remove the SIM and then reboot the device and then re-insert the SIM check if this resolve the issue.

Hi

just restarting the phone worked for me but it is pretty annoying. Moreover, I couldn’t do it during the work shift as it would interrupt my shift app.
