Unlock old phone to sell

Kindly note that we don’t network lock any of our devices at iD Mobile, so your old phone is already unlocked and can be used on any network. That means you’re all set to go ahead and sell it without needing to request an unlock.

If you’d still like to double-check, here’s how you can do it:

For iPhone:

• Go to Settings
• Tap General
• Tap About
• Scroll down to Network Provider Lock
• If it says “No SIM restrictions”, your phone is unlocked

For Android:

• The easiest way is to insert a SIM card from a different network
• If the phone connects to that network and you can make calls/texts, it’s unlocked
• If you see a message asking for an unlock code or saying the SIM isn’t supported, it may be locked

Since iD Mobile devices aren’t locked, you should be all set.
