Voicemail Msg removal

Hi there,

I have a voicemail message from the 1st of May that seems to be quite long, and is a spam call with hold music.

I'm unable to listen to other messages before listening to the full length of this other one, and I can't use the number pad to delete it before the message completes.

Is it possible to removal this voice message?

Hi @Jake38585.

Thanks for your post. I am sorry you’re having trouble with that voicemail. I can understand how frustrating it is when a spam message is stuck and stopping you from getting to the rest of your inbox.

If it helps, you can usually remove it directly from your phone depending on whether you’re using Visual Voicemail:

On iPhone:

Open the Phone app and tap Voicemail
Swipe left on the voicemail and tap Delete
To fully clear it, go to Deleted Messages and tap Clear All

On Android:

Open your Phone app and go to Voicemail
Tap or press and hold the message, then select Delete
Check Deleted Messages / Trash to permanently remove it if needed

If the voicemail is still stuck or won’t delete, let us know and we can take a closer look for you.

I hope this works for you.

Thanks,

Marquerita

Hey Marquerita,

I'm not using visual voice unfortunately, so I can't directly highlight and delete the message.

Hi @Jake38585

Thanks for confirming. As you’re not using Visual Voicemail, the message would need to be deleted through the standard voicemail system instead.

Please try the following:

  • Call your voicemail by holding down 1 on your keypad or dial 123
  • Allow the spam voicemail message to begin playing
  • Once the message starts, try pressing 7 to delete the message (on most voicemail systems this is the delete option)

If the message is extremely long and does not allow keypad input immediately, you may need to wait a short while into the message before the system accepts the command.

You can also try:

  • Pressing # to skip through message options
  • Listening via another handset if available
  • Restarting the handset before calling voicemail again

If the voicemail still cannot be removed after trying the above, please let us know and we can investigate further for you.
