    Hi @Maureenmckitting ,

I’m really sorry to hear you’re having trouble finding the Wi-Fi Preferred option on your Samsung Galaxy A16. On most Samsung devices, the Wi-Fi Preferred setting is linked to Wi-Fi Calling. Here are some steps you can try:

    Troubleshooting Steps

    1. Enable Wi-Fi Calling

    Open the Phone app.
Tap the three dots (More options) > Settings > Wi-Fi Calling.
If available, select Wi-Fi Preferred. This ensures your phone uses Wi-Fi for calls when possible.

    1. Update Your Software

Go to Settings > Software Update and make sure your device is running the latest version.

    1. Force Wi-Fi Calling (if option isn’t visible)

Turn on Airplane Mode, then manually enable Wi-Fi.
This will force your phone to use Wi-Fi for calls.

    1. Check Compatibility

Some models or imported devices may not support the Wi-Fi Preferred option. If that’s the case, enabling Wi-Fi Calling and using Airplane Mode is the best workaround.

@Maureenmckitting To use the Wi-Fi preferred option on your Samsung Galaxy A16, you need to enable Wi-Fi Calling in the Phone app > Settings > Wi-Fi Calling and select "Wi-Fi preferred" as your calling preference. This will automatically use your Wi-Fi network for calls when available, and then switch to your mobile network if Wi-Fi is not available.
Enable and set Wi-Fi calling preference
    Open the Phone app.
Tap the three vertical dots (More options) in the top-right corner.
    Tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Wi-Fi Calling.
If Wi-Fi calling is not already on, tap the switch to enable it. You may need to enter your emergency contact information the first time you enable it.
Once enabled, tap on Calling preference.
    Select Wi-Fi preferred.
Return to the Phone app by tapping the back arrow or the home button.
