Add-ons are a handy way to top up your data or minutes and steer clear of any out-of-plan charges. We’ve got a range of options to suit your needs:

What is a UK Add-on?

Running low on data or minutes? It happens! Whether it’s a new Netflix series on your commute or endless phone calls, your monthly allowance can sometimes fall short.

If you think you’ll run out of minutes or data before your allowances refresh, buying an Add-on works out cheaper than racking up out-of-plan charges. For example, a 7-day Add-on of 100MB data is just £1.00. But if you use an extra 100MB of data outside your plan without an Add-on, you’ll be charged £10.24.

Add-ons kick in once your allowance runs out. A data Add-on starts after your monthly data (and Data Rollover) is used, and a calls Add-on activates when your minutes run out. Choose one that lasts 7 days, 1 month, or 12 months. Make sure you buy the Add-on when your allowance is close to running out. A 7-day data Add-on will expire exactly seven days after you bought it, not seven days after it starts being used. Don’t forget - your Add-ons work both at home and in our 50 free Roaming destinations!*

UK Add-ons can be purchased anytime in the iD Mobile app or My Account Online, simply view the instructions linked in the article below.

Please note: Add-ons can’t be backdated or used to cover past usage.

Recurring Add-ons.

Unfortunately, we don't offer recurring Add-ons anymore. If you, however, purchased a recurring Add-on from us before they were discontinued, it will keep refreshing every month with each billing period until you cancel. To do that, please, contact us here.

FAQs.

When does my Add-on start?

Your UK Add-ons (also known as domestic Add-ons) starts once your monthly allowance is used up. For example, if you buy a UK data Add-on, it'll kick in after your monthly data allowance and Data Rollover are used up. Make sure you buy the UK Add-on when your allowance is close to running out. A 7-day data Add-on will expire exactly seven days after you bought it, not seven days after it starts being used.

How long does my Add-on last?

You can buy UK Add-ons for 7 days, 30 days and 12 months. These can run across different billing periods depending on when you purchased it. You can check when an Add-on is due to expire by going to the dashboard of your iD Mobile app or at my.idmobile.co.uk/login under ‘Add-ons’.

Can I cancel an Add-on?

Unfortunately, you cannot cancel an Add-on. Your Add-on will expire after its duration, depending on which Add on you bought.

Will my bill cap effect my Add-on?

No, Add-ons are not included in your Bill Cap. If your Bill Cap is set at £3.00 and you buy a £3.00 Add-on, you’ll still have £3.00 left on your Bill Cap. Find out more about how Bill Caps work here.

Do Add-ons carry over after a plan change/upgrade?

Yes, your Add-on will remain on your account even if you change your plan.

I’ve gone over my allowance - can I cover it with an Add-on?

If you go over your allowance, you’ll be charged out-of-bundle rates until you buy an Add-on. Remember, your Add-on can’t be backdated or used to cover past usage. But once you’ve bought the Add-on, it will help you with limiting out-of-bundle charges by providing better value.
