Data not working

I just bought extra data, I expect this to work IMMEDIATELY. This is the second time ive bought additional data from ID and had to wait HOURS for it be useable. This is totally unacceptable. Why do you accept payments for additional data but then think its Ok to not provide that product as soon AS SOON AS IT IS PAID FOR.

Extremely frustrating and poor service.

I demand and explaination and plan for rectifying this, SO IT DOESNT HAPPEN AGAIN. Or I will be leaving poor feedback on Trustpilot and any other review platform I can find.

I also think its garbage customer service to not provide an immediate live chat function NOT AI, a human customer support.. and no phone number insight to call about problems like the above

The iD customer advisers work until 8pm on weekdays (6pm at weekends) - their bot works 24/7. During iD support hours, advisers are usually immediately available via the online chat.

Alas, just like other UK mobile network service providers, iD help & support is entirely online - there isn’t a telephone support helpline.

This community article might help.

Okay @jamhrl, did you tell the bot you’d like to “talk to a person”?

To chat with an adviser, just type “talk to a person”, when you’re using the online iD Live Chat.

I have just been contacted to my personal email from another personal email (no ID representation) this is a highly suspicious and unprofessional way to be contacted.

This looks like scam behaviour.

I want it reporting to your complaints team. Please forward this or provide contact details to your complaints department.

Email address which conatacted me as follows - (Information removed)

Hello @jamhrl

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are sorry for any previous delays when buying additional data.

We do aim to have add on’s availabel to use as soon as possible but there can be processing times for the payment to reach the account and for the add to be applied.

Rebooting the handset after around ten minutes can help.

When chatting to the Live Chat team, the service is automated at first to understand the issue and direct you to the right team. If you wish to bypass this, please enter ‘speak to an adviser’.

We are sorry to hear you have received an email from an unknown source. Have they advised that they work for iD Mobile? Looking at the email address provided, this looks like it could potentially be an attempt to obtain information and not related to iD Mobile.

We would recommend blocking the account.

Thanks,

Nat

Yes, thay said they were representing ID.

Right so, the first question I want to know is.. how the hell has somebody got hold of my personal email address ? Presumably from ID seen as they know to use that as an identity to get in touch with me and attempt to obtain information - this would clearly point to a leak of my personal information from the ID database.

Do you realise how serious this mishandling of my private information is ? If this what has happened, you in effect have given out my personal details to a scammer. How has this been allowed to happen ?

What do you plan to do about this ? How can you assure me that other items of my personal data, thats you hold on your systems hasnt also been realeased,.. SUCH AS MY BANK DETAILS ??

Do I need to contact my bank and get my account secured ?!

Simply recommending I block the email acount will not cut it. You need to escalate this serious matter to someone who can do something about it, immediately !!

I expect a written response to the above within 24hour to my personal email or I will be contacting the authorities.
