Broken phone, no access to online account/app, need to upgrade

My son’s phone has been broken for months and he is finally due an upgrade. Unfortunately my husband did not register for access to the online ID Mobile app/website when the contract began and to register now, we would need to have the phone available and working. We cannot even cancel the contract without accessing our account online. Feels like stalemate!

You can still register, is the SIM card still working?

If the SIM card could be placed into another phone, whilst you register online https://my.idmobile.co.uk/

Can I SIM temporarily into any phone? We do not have a spare/old phone and don’t want to buy one for the purpose. Can we temporarily put the SIM in another family member’s phone if they are on a pay monthly contract with another provider or not?
