How can I deactivate the bixby button on Samsung S8?

Deactivating Bixby is easy but the button on the left stays active. It's easy to press by accident, and most annoying

Hi @DaveH

I've found this article for you, it's pretty easy to follow and completly disables the voice assistant aswel as disabling the activation of the bixby home screen.
I just tested it using my old S8, it worked a charm.

hi Adzdalton, thanks for suggesting that article but it presupposes the user has already activated Bixby, which involves signing up to Samsung and agreeing to share date etcetera, all of which I'm less than keen to do

Was there an option to untick the sharing of data and have the terms of service ticked?
Allowing you to continue without sharing data.
Can't remember exactly what the options were off the top of my head.
