sim not working un Samsung S6


Hi all

 

My ID phone was dropped into some paint. The phone is runied... .

So i put the sim into my husbands old Samsung S6. 

It is unlocked and i have used it with EE sim only before.

But it wont log onto the ID Network.

Phone is fully upto date ... EE say the phone isnt blocked ... please help

Is your phone requesting any kind of code when you insert iD Mobile Card? Or is it not showing any reception in the status bar?

Further info.

- ID sim works in Galaxy S8

- Not working in S6

 

- sky / EE sim works in S6 and S8.

 

So the S6 phone doesnt like the ID network / SIM for some reason!?

Hi @Marrioj06 

Have you tried to manually select/connect to the network? 

This should allow your phone to connect to iD.

Sorry i dont have the exact settings. 

However if you try go into connections>mobile network>network operator this should let you select iD from the list.

I found them

It isnt even seeing the network when i search!

I have entered the APN manualy!!

Its so strange

I can confirm that there may be issues with using iD mobiles services on Samsung S6.

Please see the link below which contains are list of iD approved handsets. Unfortunately the Samsung S6 is not on the list. This means that it is not an iD approved device.

Please try your SIM in an iD approved device.
