unable to register on iD mobile (Please check your personal details again.)

I got my new phone today. I downloaded the iD app but it would not let me register so came online and tried to do it via the iD website, but this will not let me either. I keep getting a message saying "Please check your personal details again".
The details I am inputting are correct so not sure what is going wrong?!

Hello @venox,

When you're registering you'll need to enter:

• The iD Mobile number (one that's currently active with iD not your current number if you're wanting to port)
• Date of birth
• Surname

If you're still having issues and you're sure that the correct iD number is being entered, this may be due to the details not matching on the system.

thanks for your reply.
I am not porting a number so am trying the number of the new phone and I am sure I know my surname and date of birth!
Perhaps my details are wrong on your system but they appear to be correct on emails I have received.
How can I check?
