I cannot seem to send emails from my phone, even though I am receiving them just fine.
I an on ID Mobile, phone is Honor 10 Lite and email provider is Yahoo.
I click send and it goes to the outbox but then I get a notification saying the email has failed to send.
Why do my emails fail to send

Have you attempted to resend from your outbox?
It doesn't sound like it would be a network issue.
Most likely a handset issue.

How long has this been going on?
Have you checked your SMTP server details , it should look like this Smtp.mail.yahoo.com
