Asked Google Gemini to help me answer this question, so firstly that would be one aspect of daily life I'd love AI to help me with. But also all of the below, particularly the meal planning/grocery shopping and efficient task management.

* Meal Planning and Grocery Shopping:

   * "Wouldn't it be amazing if AI could plan my meals for the week, taking into account my dietary restrictions, what's already in my fridge, and even local sales? Then, it could automatically generate a grocery list and even order it for delivery."

 * Personalized Fitness and Wellness:

   * "I'd love an AI that could analyze my activity levels, sleep patterns, and stress levels to create a truly personalized fitness and wellness plan. It could remind me to take breaks, suggest healthy recipes, and even guide me through meditation sessions."

 * Efficient Task Management:

   * "My daily to-do list can get overwhelming. I'd love an AI that could prioritize tasks, schedule appointments, and even automate routine chores like paying bills or sending reminders. It'd be like having a personal assistant, but smarter."

 * Information Filtering and Learning:

   * "The internet is a vast sea of information, and it's hard to separate the good from the bad. I'd love an AI that could filter out the noise, summarize relevant articles, and even help me learn new skills by providing personalized tutorials."

 * Creative Assistance:

   * "Sometimes, I get stuck creatively, whether it's writing an email, planning a party, or even just coming up with dinner ideas. An AI that could help me brainstorm, generate ideas, and even provide feedback would be incredibly helpful."

 * Home Automation and Optimization:

   * "Imagine an AI that intelligently manages my home environment, adjusting the temperature, lighting, and even security based on my preferences and routines. It could also help me conserve energy and reduce waste."

 * Travel Planning:

   * "Planning trips can be time consuming. An AI that could find the best deals on flights and hotels, create personalized itineraries, and even provide real-time travel updates would make traveling so much easier."

 * Social Connection:

   * "Sometimes it is hard to keep up with friends and family. An AI that could help me remember birthdays, suggest relevant conversation topics, and help me to schedule time to connect with my loved ones would be very helpful."

With so many scams rife on the Internet, it would be brilliant is AI could be used to find and determine the source of many of the scams and cons, working with intelligence forces to catch the criminals out.

If they could determine when new profiles are made from a regular IP address and check them out so that this conning culture can stop!

Great if AI could predict the lottery numbers and stock market gainers, help with learning a new language, and playing the piano!

The possibilities are endless but honestly, just at the moment, I would love it if AI could just attend my Teams meetings on my behalf for the next couple of weeks and then provide me with a summary an a list of actions so I'd have time to catch up... 😩

The advent of sophisticated AI has me, a dedicated Dungeon Master for Eberron D&D campaigns, buzzing with ideas! In my daily life, I'd be thrilled if AI could become my ultimate co-creator for my games. Think about it: instant generation of evocative descriptions for strange Eberron locations, crafting compelling dialogue for diverse characters, or even suggesting innovative magical items with unique properties. The ability to have an AI partner that understands the nuances of the Eberron setting and can help me flesh out my world and respond dynamically to my players would be a game-changer. (It's even a little meta – this very answer was shaped with the help of an AI, demonstrating its potential for creative assistance!)

I would really love to see AI used to engineer cures for the terrible diseases that we have in our lives. Imagine a world without cancer, motor neurone disease and all the other horrendous illnesses that blight our lives. It has the potential to do so!

AI isn’t just about chatbots and self-driving cars, although those things are pretty cool! It’s revolutionizing fields in ways you’d never expect. From decoding lost languages to exploring the deep sea, AI is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. So here are 8 of the most fascinating AI applications that might surprise you.

Plus, we’re giving away an HP Chromebook Plus with a 12-Month Google One AI Premium Plan! Find out how to enter at the end of the article.

1. Decoding ancient languages.

AI is helping linguists decipher lost languages by analysing ancient texts. Using algorithms, artificial neural networks predict missing words in ancient Greek manuscripts and Egyptian hieroglyphs. AI can even accelerate the translation of dead languages that have no modern equivalent. One example is China’s Oracle Bone Script, an ancient divination text carved into cattle bones and turtle shells!

2. Making masterpieces.

AI can already transform rough sketches into detailed artwork. Tools like Google’s AutoDraw guess what you’re trying to draw and complete it. It can also learn styles of famous artists and reproducing them.

But it’s an amazing collaborative tool for professional artists too. Artist Mario Klingemann worked with Google Arts and Culture’s AI Experiments project to create a series of AI-generated portraits. Meanwhile artist Sougwen Chung has programmed a robotic arm to mimic her painting style and contribute its own ideas!

3. Predicting earthquakes and natural disasters.

Despite all our best efforts, we’re still hit with natural disasters. That’s why AI is being deployed to detect early seismic activity patterns that humans can’t see. Google and Harvard developed an AI system that analysed data from 131,000 earthquakes and aftershocks.

And it’s not just what goes on underground. By analysing satellite images in real time, AI is also predicting wildfires based on weather and vegetation conditions. IN 2024, it helped to give warnings 10 days ahead of wildfires in Canada.

4. Recreating voices of historical figures.

AI models are analysing old recordings and reconstructing realistic speech. Projects like “AI Lincoln” allow historical figures to “speak” using AI-generated voices. And AI-powered voice cloning poignantly recreates passages of Anne Frank’s diary. When used sensitively, this could prove to be an incredible educational tool.

5. Bringing dreams to life.

AI models are interpreting brain activity to generate images based on dreams. Some AI projects are attempting to translate dream descriptions into visual animations. And AI-assisted dream journaling apps (like Dream Interpreter AI) can suggest themes and meaning based on past dream data.

6. Discovering new drugs and cures.

Lab work is vital, but done manually by technicians it can also be a gruelling process. AI can scan millions of molecular structures to discover potential new medicines. It might be able to speed up the process of finding life-saving drugs by years, and is even helping create personalised medicine tailored to an individual’s genetics. Though the technology is still new and unproven, the potential benefit to public health could be massive.

7. Design Board Games from scratch.

AI creates original board games, complete with rules and mechanics. It tests playability and adjusts difficulty levels dynamically, helping balance game mechanics for fairness and fun.

8. Make Deep-Sea Discoveries.

AI-powered submarines explore uncharted parts of the ocean. AI identifies new marine species by analyzing underwater footage, and maps the ocean floor faster than human researchers.

AI is more than just automation—it’s pushing the boundaries of science, creativity, and human potential.

These niche AI applications prove that its impact extends far beyond the tech industry. The future holds even wilder possibilities—what’s next for AI?

I’d particularly like to use AI to help me evaluate documents quicker. Part of my role at work is to review documents in line with certain criteria and make sure they meet. However i feel AI could help speed up this process and allow me to write up other reports which need a more human touch.

Maybe AI could be used by our government to decide how the country should be run!  If one party sees the financial way to go as one route and the other party see another route, maybe AI could distinguish which is the correct route to go.  Then everyone would benefit from it by not facing this mountain if bills that we are all facing now! (On a more personal note could it please do my housework for me! Hate it!)

I would like AI to be integrated into an android (not an android phone, but a real humanlike robot) and be able to converse with me without prompt, learn what topic I'm learning or task I'm doing and work alongside me and teach me without me asking to be taught, to fill in the blanks of what I'm asking without me saying keywords, I would like it to act as a human companion able to go outside and help keep me safe, give me companionship and carry my shopping, drive the car, fly the plane, carry me, shop for me and nurse me when I'm sick.

What would I love AI to help me with in my daily life? First,  for AI not to be used to gather personal data which organisations can then sell and use against either individual’s or groups. But, I would love AI help us, humanity, to better explore and understand the stars and galaxy’s, so that human’s can travel to and inhabit other world’s, which, in turn, could become a daily task.
