I've recently found a new love for running which makes me so happy that I'm even training for a marathon! I live a very busy life with a full time job and part time uni, so my two evening runs a week are a much needed moment where my brain goes quiet, and my Sunday routine is perfect - a long run taking up the morning followed by a warm bath, a good lunch, some time for creativity and a few hours of wellness and beauty to fully reset (which a cryoglow would very much help) - I find having lived this routine on a Sunday means my Mondays feel a whole lot less blue!

Being told my Dad is cancer free.

Making my wife happy as a happy wife is a happy life.  Tricia has had to deal with a lot including myself and she has come through it, not always with a smile but always to the end.  sometimes little things can make a difference but the big one for me is when she smiles and lights up a room.

That is a good day.

Catching up with friends and organising a wholesome trip in nature, whether that’s a long walk, a tough hike or a chilly sea swim. Being with people outdoors in mother nature is so grounding, even in winter when it’s chilly! All followed up by a nice pub lunch with the fire roaring. Can’t beat it. It’s great going away, but there are always so many beautiful places to explore within the UK. And feel better for holding back on the air miles too!

Family

What makes me happy is my family, and seeing the smile on my son's face every morning. I get happy smiling at random people when I leave the house and I'm happy for what I have.

Keeping in touch with all my friends round the world makes me feel fulfilled and happy, and my phone allows me to do that in a way we previously could not.

The joy of gazing out the car window when a bouncy music is playing, the sensation of a hot cocoa mug that is just the right warmth against my palms, and the mild pain in my stomach from laughing too much with my friends. These are only three brief moments in a world full of a flurry of emotions, but they capture the essence of what makes me happy and are easy for me to recall. Happiness is therapeutic, and it can persist for a long time if you actively seek it. My family ensures that I never go a day without comfort, my friends make sure that I never leave a smile on my face, and I can make sure that I always find the positive in my life.

Seeing the look on my granddaughter’s face when she visits nannies & granddad’s house for a sleepover and she knows she  can have his phone to play her games and home made cakes.

Fresh ski lines down knee deep powder through the trees. No better feeling than gliding down fresh snow ⛷️

What makes me happy in life is spending quality time with loved ones, creating memorable experiences, and finding joy in the little things, like a good cup of coffee or a walk in nature.

Being surrounded by family, chatting, laughing and making memories to remember forever.

For me, there are 2 things. Standing on a hill or mountain (especially if it's remote) during snowfall and hearing nothing but the wind. Then there's the sound you get on a frozen lake when you throw thin ice on the surface. The sound as it echos is just heavenly.
