My brother became a junior doctor in 2025, and I have never felt prouder. I watched him push through exhausting exams, long placements, and unbelievable pressure. He kept going anyway, staying kind, calm, and determined. As someone with a chronic condition himself, he did to help people, to make a difference, and to be the person who listens. Seeing him finally step into that role felt so surreal - he inspires me to aim higher every day!

My proudest achievement of 2025 was celebrating 25 years of marriage alongside watching our daughter achieve amazing GCSE results. The night before our wedding my mum told me that if I went ahead I would be making the biggest mistake of my life. Twenty five years later I look at my husband, our two wonderful daughters and the life we have built through love, laughter and a lot of teamwork, and I know how wrong she was. I am so proud that I trusted my heart, my choice and our relationship. Our family is my greatest achievement.

Getting engaged was easily the happiest moment of last year. We were on holidays, at the beach. Allready dark, we were having a lovely dinner. And somehow my partner managed to not raise any suspicion at all, so it was a total surprise when he asked me to walk a bit and then went down on one knee with a ring that magically appeared in his hand! I never really had strong ideas about how the ‘will you marry me’ moment should look or what the ring should be like, but it still ended up being more than I imagined. It just felt so right, especially after five years together.

I’m honestly not even sure how to make it up to him for creating such a lovely moment and a lifetime memory, but i’m fairly confident a Switch console wouldn’t be a bad place to start 😂 Now we’re engaged and already knee-deep in planning all the complicated wedding things so he could enjoy a bit of respite playing games :D

My proudest moment of 2025 was when I realised, I had achieved all my targets for the year and was in full swing to do the same in 2026.

Keeping my business going despite the cost of living crisis, the much higher energy costs, the lack of consumer confidence during the summer, the drop in business caused by the budget uncertainty, the Christmas lull and the world chaos. What more can 2026 throw at me?

My proudest and happiest moment was when I volunteered to help Hearing dogs for the deaf and I took charge of one of their very special dogs. He came to our family a few months ago to continue his training so that he can go on to be a fully trained dog who will hopefully go on to change a deaf persons life in so many ways.

He is part of our family now and I'm sure it will be difficult to say goodbye but knowing he will go on to transform someone else's life will be worth it.

Happy New Year.

My proudest and happiest achievement of 2025 is giving birth to my little girl, who is now 6 months old. She is so well behaved healthy and happy, couldn't have asked for anything more 😀.

My proudest achievement last year was advocating relentlessly for my son, who has Down syndrome, during an extremely challenging period in mainstream education.
He was not being properly supported: his 1:1 support was withdrawn, he was rarely included in teacher-led lessons, and the focus seemed to be on moving him out rather than helping him thrive. This became a daily battle with the county council and school, causing significant stress and anxiety for our whole family.

Eventually, I had a turning point and decided that this environment no longer deserved the right to teach my son. I began pursuing specialist provision, despite severe shortages and long waiting lists. Just one week before the end of the school year, we received a life-changing phone call offering him a place at a nearby special educational needs school.

He started there in September 2025 and is now flourishing — learning, settling in, and making friends. Securing this outcome required resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in my child, and it remains my proudest achievement of the year.

In 2025, we achieved a lifelong dream by moving into our perfect home in the heart of Wales. This milestone was the result of years of dedication and perseverance, overcoming significant challenges along the way. Living with clinical OCD and navigating neurodivergent hurdles made the journey far from easy but every step was worth it. This home represents more than bricks and mortar; it’s a sanctuary that promises a brighter, more fulfilling future for my young children. It’s a story of resilience, hope, and the power of never giving up.

We managed to save enough money as a family to buy our forever home. It will take a lot of work to get into a good condition house (worst house on a nice street) but we have the time to do it. 100% taken the plunge with it and cannot wait.

2025 brought a lot of challenges and was very up and down, though my happiest achievement was learning to focus on the good of the year. Such as visiting lots of concerts e.g. Charli XcX, Fontaines DC, JLS, and seeing my favourite of all time artist Lana Del Rey!!! So those were experiences I truly won’t forget and 2025 went down as a Concert packed year.
