Cuba, I think 2007. Varadero peninsula with sun and sand, a couple of days in Havana, mojitos on the roof of Hemmingway’s golf club, monsoons that last for an hour in the middle of the day and then the surface is dry within 20 minutes when it stops. The old American cars used at taxis.

Oh and people tip you with cigars when you get anything from them.

The best family holiday we have had was a trip to Florida. We didn't touch anything Disney related at all, we saw "real" Florida. We spent 2 weeks traveling round and seeing so many things - alligators galore, airboats, lunch with an astronaut at the Kennedy Space Centre ..  so so much, all topped off with a visit to Key West. It was wonderful!

Lucky for me I don't go abroad. So if it's getting on an aeroplane then I would get on at Manchester and then an hour later am in London which is enough for me. If it's a beach holiday or a hot tub holiday break then that's within Yorkshire.

Madeira with my just wedded wife. Sat on the balcony overlooking Funchal harbour watching a storm roll in but feeling safe and happy.

One of the most eventful holidays I’ve been to was last year’s. You know that part when you plan something and the universe plans something totally different. New York was calling…But then there were the paper issues as they didn’t arrive on time. I sadly had to cancel…it was devastating. However I said to myself in true Sagittarius spirit:this won’t break me. And of course the birthday adventure had to be done. Not often you see one of your dream destinations at half price…couple of clicks and I ended up booking a trip to Greenland.🇬🇱 After quite a journey to get there-mechanical issues snowstorms that cancelled my tours I still ended up exploring one of the most unreal sights of the world and as a blessing on the last night I saw the Northern lights as well 🙏An experience I’ll never forget

Chiang Mai was hands down the best trip I’ve ever taken. It had everything — chill mountain vibes, amazing food, and the kindest people. I stayed in a little guesthouse in the Old City, ate mango sticky rice every morning, and explored temples that looked like something out of a movie.

One of the best parts was riding a scooter up to Doi Suthep for sunrise — the view over the city was unreal. I also spent a day at an elephant sanctuary, feeding and bathing rescued elephants in the river. Total bucket list moment.

At night, the street markets came alive with lights, music, and the smell of grilled skewers everywhere. I didn’t want to leave. Chiang Mai wasn’t just a holiday — it felt like a reset.

Paragliding on the Southdowns national park East Sussex during a very enjoyable 5 day course. I found the experience exhilarating extremely memorable. I can only hope to experience the same time again in the near future. Thanks for listening. Kindest regards.

Trip to Western Australia, especially the swim with Whale Sharks, a once in a lifetime experience swimming with such huge, graceful, gentle giants. Unspoilt and empty beaches and reefs you can just walk off the beach to, happy days.

A few days in Malta 2023 with close family to visit my sister who was studying out there. Came shortly after a tough few months, so brought some much needed sunshine, happy memories and family-time back into my life!

My wife and I discovered 'Benidorm' a few years ago. I know what people would just automatically think but it really is what you want it to be. You want it loud, noisy, party and alcohol infused then fine it's everything you could possibly want, however, it's Spain and you can find home to some of the best food, restaurants sights and warm friendly people that you could ever want. We are due to go back this year for our 5th time, each time we always find something new. I would recommend everyone to try at least once, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Our honeymoon to New York in August 2015, almost ten years ago. Stayed in harlem and had an amazing week that flew by too fast, just like the last ten years.

My favourite holiday was travelling to Los Angeles and Las Vegas in America. One of the highlights was driving down the iconic Route 66 – it felt like stepping into a piece of history. I especially loved visiting Monument Valley, where I could almost imagine I was in an old Western movie, surrounded by those dramatic red rock formations. It was an unforgettable experience!
