Would have to say Rome - the beautiful city of Rome. Gorgeous weather, fantastic food and ALL THAT GELATO - fantastic! I’m not religious but my visit to the Vatican was something else - absolutely surreal. Saw the paintings, saw the architecture and saw the Pope (conducting mass on the Sunday). Definitely need to go back! Un ‘esperienza straordinaria! 😎

I once drove right around France booking hotels as we went on booking.com started by getting the ferry from Dover and drove to troyes then over to the alps and then around to the south of France ended up being one of the best holidays I've ever been on.

My favourite holiday has to be China. It's an amazing country and they are so more advanced than the UK. Beautiful countryside and friendly people. It's never been on my wishlist, but now I've been, I want to go again and again.

After years of saving money to get on the property ladder, we were finally able to afford our first holiday abroad together, a modestly priced coach trip to Rimini in 1982.

We've been all over the Globe since, but nothing tops that magical week together; we barely noticed the 40-odd passengers we were travelling alongside.

True love, eh ?

Marrakesh, Morocco. The sights, the sounds, the culture. It was amazing, you really have to experience it to understand!

Travelling from New Zealand to Singapore, covering Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia. Once in a lifetime experience.

It’s got to be Mexico Xcaret resort. Scuba diving among glorious coral and sealife (turtles, rays, sharks) during the day, a nature park with local wildlife, cenotes and entertainment a short walk away, and sunset with cocktails on the beach! What’s not to like!

Anytime we visit the Costa del Sol, great culture, hot sunshine, beautiful beaches, fantastic vistas, glorious sunsets,  warm Spanish welcomes, amazing food and wine, the stuff of dreams, can’t wait to return again and again..

Solo trip by train from Longbridge to Istanbul, with stopovers in Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Budapest, Bucharest and Sofia. 3 sleeper trains, Eurostar, TGV, and a 10 hour daytime journey from Bucharest to Sofia. ID roaming in every country except Turkey, where I used the Roam Beyond. Couldn't have done it without the trusty mobile phone - everything from navigation to guidebooks to managing tickets. Even when the Istanbul hotel was cancelled at 16 hours notice, I could find and book another whilst on the sleeper train from Sofia! Not bad at 76,eh?

A cruiser on the Norfolk Broads. Peace and total relaxation for my sons to wind down from the stresses of daily living. If it rains you just keep cruising down the river to the next village or pub. We went with our adult sons and their partners three years running but then my husband died unexpectedly so the fourth year didn’t happen. They will always be great memories and it’s really nice to still have such good relationships with sons who left home more than thirty years ago.

My favourite holiday was Miami in 2015, it was the last holiday I got to have with my Dad and we spent Christmas and New Year there which was a phenomenal experience, spending Christmas day on a sunny beach with a BBQ was not something I ever thought I’d experience but it was fantastic and would highly recommend it to anyone. I took this photo and it’s been my wallpaper ever since

We went to Bali 12 years ago, absolutely fell in love with the place and the people. So much so that we’ve been back twice every year since then and plan on retiring there. It’s beautiful the people are beautiful. What’s not to like 🏝️🙏

Love going to Cornwall in the winter, rugged coastline and the ability to enjoy the scenery, not so bothered about everywhere being closed , plenty of planning ahead, half the fun
