A mini cruise along the Nile as a teenager with my parents. A great mix of visiting some astounding ancient sites in the mornings and chilling poolside and eating loads of food in the afternoons!

We won about £400 in one of the first weeks of the lottery and blew it all on a late deal to Lanzarote with my girlfriend.  We had a wonderful time and 31 years and 3 children later are still together.

Portugal last October. 5 days in Algarve and 3 days in Lisbon. Such a fantastic country often overlooked for tourism. And 20 plus degrees in October. Great people and culture.

Thoroughly recommend!

Had our first cruise this year. Flew to Singapore for a couple of days then boarded our ship. Visited Bali, Darwin, Port Douglas, Airlee Beach and Sydney. Stayed in Sydney for 3 nights. What a fantastic adventure.

The most magical vacation I’ve ever had was in the town of Moalboal, on Cebu Island in the Philippines. There’s a stunning 12-kilometer reef just 30 meters from the shore, with beautiful fish, sea snakes, and some of the most beautiful turtles in the world. Of course, I want to go back again and again. It’s a pity that ID Mobile roaming doesn’t work in the Philippines yet)))

Can't remember the year but it was during Hurricane Charlie and we flew out and landed just as it started.  In fact when we arrived we were told they shouldn't have let us fly.  We were told we had two hours to get to our hotel in Florida.  The hurricane came through the centre of Florida.  So frightening

Egypt last year! My first ever abroad holiday with my partner of 7 years - first time we could ever afford to go somewhere outside of the country. Honestly I was so worried about how I’d find it (I’m a homebody!) but I was so surprised by how welcoming everyone was (we became best friends with our bar staff) so much so we’re going back later this year!

My favourite holiday has to be the week I spent in Barcelona a couple of years back. It was my first trip after lockdown, so there was a proper sense of freedom in the air. I went solo, but that meant I could wander everywhere at my own pace - beach one minute, hidden tapas bars the next. I found myself up in Montjuïc one evening just as the sun set, and the city below just glowed. I spent far too much money in little design shops in El Born, tried to blend in with the locals (and failed spectacularly with my Spanish), and basically spent the week living on patatas bravas and local beers. LIving in south London, having that mix of sea, sunshine, and city vibes was perfect. The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses would’ve been ideal to capture all those spontaneous moments. Maybe next time!

My favourite holiday was a trip through Malaysia to Singapore. Wonderful blend of imperial buildings and modern architecture (Petronas Towers were only half constructed at the time), frantic cities, warm people and gentle beaches.

I’d return in a heartbeat ❤️

My very first cruise through the Panama Canal! So exciting to see how tight it was for our ship, Radiance of the Sea, to make her way, with barely any room to spare, through that man-made feat of engineering! We had a party on our balcony for our 4 friends and family to mark the event! A wonderful memory!

I recently visited Istanbul, and it was a wonderful experience filled with history, culture, and beautiful scenery. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Hagia Sophia. Seeing such an iconic and historic building in person was truly amazing. The architecture and atmosphere were unforgettable.

Another activity I really enjoyed was taking a boat tour around Istanbul. Cruising along the Bosphorus gave me a unique view of the city, especially the mix of European and Asian sides, which makes Istanbul so special.

I stayed in a hotel during my trip, and it was comfortable and convenient, making it easy to explore the city.

Overall, I thought Istanbul was a fascinating and enjoyable destination. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys history, sightseeing, and vibrant city life.

If you’d like to include more details (like the name of your hotel, specific places you ate, or anything you didn’t like), I can update the review accordingly!

Peru, trecking to machu piccu, managed to persuade my 23 year old son to come with us to look after us oldies. We even did an overnight bus to the Amazon which was fun.

On the island of Kauai we decided to hire a canoe and head upriver in search of a waterfall which seemed an urban legend as no one could offer directions. We rode the canoe against the current as far as we could until the river became too shallow as we approached the source. Hiding the canoe in the undergrowth (although we had seen nobody all day) we started to climb the mountain. Kauai consists of towering peaks dressed in thick vegetation and trees. We climbed and climbed eventually arriving at a modest waterfall...looking up we could see this fall was only one in a series of waterfalls. We continued climbing and reached three more falls UNTIL at last we reached the mother of them all...a magnificent 100 foot cascade at the base of which lay a significant lake. The air was filled with mist and plumes of vapour...the noise of the fall made it impossible for us to hear each other even a metre apart...but the brain is a remarkable organ and within a short time we found that the noise of crashing water receded to the point where we could easily converse and hear each other. We had brought with us some prime steaks to cook on a campfire but as we fetched water we noticed, deep in the pool beside which we had pitched our tent, many pairs of eyes peering up from the depths of the water...large crayfish ! We attached small pieces of meat to a length of string and lowered it gently into the water. One by one a crayfish closed its pincers onto the bait and we very slowly pulled the catch to the water surface. Just before breaking the surface we flicked the string upward and mostly the crayfish were not quick enough to release hold of the meat...crayfish flew onto the bank and so we dined on surf and turf on a Hawaiian mountain-side, complemented by fresh guavas from the trees above our tent. All night as we slept under a massive moon the water continued to thunder but we enjoyed the deepest sleep of angels. In the morning we awoke, we swam, thanked the crayfish...(we didn’t eat them all)...and made our way back down the mountain to our canoe, and on to civilisation. This was one of those unique spontaneous experiences that was so surreal to the point where, years later, you still can’t quite believe it happened...yet a memory so deeply embedded that it stays with you for life.

My favourite holiday was the couple of unforgettable months I spent in Mauritius—crystal-clear lagoons, peaceful sunsets, and vibrant culture everywhere I turned. From hiking lush green trails to enjoying beachside barbecues with locals, every day felt like paradise. I'd love to capture moments like that with the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses on my next adventure!

My favourite holiday was in corralejo in Fuertaventura. I went early December for a Christmas break and the weather was fantastic.

I am a Christmas nut and being in the sun walking around in shorts and tee shirt, with all the streets, shops, bars and hotels having Christmas decorations everywhere was utterly brilliant.

Christmas in the sun best holidays ever
