Went to Las Vegas in September 2024 for a week, absolutely mind-blowing, night lights on roads, hotels, Grand Canyon, Hoover dam, and many more local attractions, loved free ride to & from our hotels to centre, a week is not enough, love to go again...thanks....

Every year a group of us from Uni from 37 years ago come back to this beautiful remote village in Tuscany Italy - Vagli Sotta Vagli Sotto - Wikipedia - incredibly peaceful with amazing views, great food at the local Good Evening and also amazing food at La Capannina in the next village over Roggio. Book a trip on AirBNB and your wont be disappointed - enjoy <3

For being different has to be the safari in Africa.Great scenery in between driving to different lodges.Monkeys running all over our transport that was covered.Nighttime monkeys running over the lodge roof screaming, sounded like a fight outside which resulted in a large dead wilderbeast outside our room.Lions and rhinos passing so close to our open vehicle.Mother lion stopping in road to wait for her many cubs to catch up giving each cub a nuzzle when they reached her.Elephants right outside the lodge door.

Sitting around the bonfire with a glass of wine after dinner is such a special feeling before being led back to our lodge.

My favourite holiday as got to be when I took my 3 kids camping in the lake District. The kids were really young then but they loved it as they saw it as an adventure

My favourite holiday was nearly 10 years ago to Japan, including visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. It was so memorable with their traditions and culture contrasting their vast technological innovation. I woudl love to go back.

10 Years ago this summer I went to Paris, Amsterdam and a few places in Belgium with a friend I’d help move from Africa to Europe. Some of the best times of my life looking back now.

Me and 5 of my friends went travelling through Europe in 2023. We had just finished our A-Levels and spent 4 weeks travelling by coach and train. We started in Amsterdam where we met this crazy Canadian hockey player who tried to fight everyone and two American college students who snuck away from their study abroad trip in Italy. We then went to Berlin where we saw of east berlins history and partied in the clubs. Then we went to Prague and we rented a peddle boat and all 6 of us took turns pedalling a tiny boat on the middle of the river. After that was Budapest where we spent many nights in the ruin bars which were so cool and had so much character. We also got spent a day at the thermal baths and played Chess in the pool with a Canadian who had links to the Hungarian mob. Then we went to Pula where we rented an amazing apartment with beach views. We went on a bar crawl in a Mediterranean storm, woke up the next day and ran straight to the beach. Next we went to Pisa to fly home, we were only there for the day for the cheap flight but still saw the leaning tower! We were so exhausted that we couldn’t even gather the energy to take one of the typical pictures next to the thing. It was ace and I would do it all over again, no better way to finish college.

It isn’t anything special, but as it was my first trip away as an “adult” along with my now long term partner it has memories attached. It was in Edinburgh for a few days, seeing the sights and also seeing a couple of shows that were on at the time (two well known stand up comedians).

I did a road trip around Florida with my godson. In three weeks we visited Universal studios and rode the hulk, NASA where we watched a rocket launch, the Everglades which were magical(the gators were awesome) and finally diving on the keys. It was 12 years ago but we still fondly reminisce about it.

A few years ago my wife and I went to Portugal on a touring holiday. We visited Tavira for a couple of days, On arrival the one way system had me confused. I could see the hotel on the river bank but could not find how to get there.. We stopped on the other bank of the river and was approached by a gentleman who turned out to be Irish. He asked if he could help and of course I was relieved as he lived in the town. He said “ Oh no problem you simply turn left and go down to the river and then right over the bridge” Much relieved I did just that to find the other side of the bridge had a flight of steps . I wondered why the locals were waving at me. We were on a Roman bridge that was pedestrians only and had been since the advent of the car  Red faces and panic all round. What the Irishman had forgot to say ,it was the SECOND bridge away downstream.

For me it has to be a trip to Turkey in 2023.

I have been to Turkey many times however, that year me and my partner had just began fostering my nephew, and was awaiting special guardianship. The little one was very quiet and isolated, and this was his first ever trip. It was amazing to see him grow in confidence throughout the holiday, as he experienced more, and opened up to the culture. First swim, first plane, first holiday, those moment an and the amazement on his face will always stay with me. !!!!
