Have a 15 day trip to USA & Canada and after research the ID rates are way too expensive.

Much better alternatives.

Just been reading about Roam Beyond.

so why are the added countries do not include Canada!!

(makes more sense than Morocco)

Also as said by others why is this so expensive when you can buy data sims for 30 days for £ 35

please consider the above, don’t want to change accounts

alan

Three do not include Canada so Id Mobile probably can't.

@Louise Ward! Fun fact: The average length of a holiday abroad is 9 days, so our 10 day Add-on would accommodate this!

Just because 9 days is the average length, doesn't mean that lots of people are taking 9 day holidays... that's not how averages work. Otherwise there would be lots of families walking round with 1.7 children.

Surely looking at the mode rather than average would make more sense?

Going to Turkey soon, was hoping this would be a worthwhile add on, but no at those prices. I left Sky as the Euro roaming was £2 a day. We need a better deal to make it more attractive. Also, most people would look for 7 days as a bundle, as it’s the most popular. Close, but no cigar this time

Anyone want roaming further, get a Three PAYG - put a tenner on and you'll have 10gb to last a month. They cover around 70 countries. Google and you'll see.

It's expensive (surely market research would show this!) and random amount days because most people go away for 7 or 14 days but you're offering 5 or 10 days 🥴🥴 1, 3, 7, 14 would be better, moreso if you're keeping these prices.... 35 for 14 days is much more appealing, 20 for 7 days.... I'd say a little cheaper than those numbers but can't see ID dropping them .....

Morning @Louise Ward! Thanks for the feedback regarding the different durations of Add-ons we offer. I’ve shared this with the team. Fun fact: The average length of a holiday abroad is 9 days, so our 10 day Add-on would accommodate this!

Average length is 9 days? I don't think I know anyone who's been on a 9 day holiday 🤣🤣 most people in the UK holiday abroad for 7 or 14 days. Whenever I've asked anyone it's either weekend/long weekend or 1 or 2 weeks - especially when going to the USA/Mexico/Asia way etc. Curious to know how many people in these comments have been away for 9 days

But Lebara don't do much of use unless you want it for India. Never heard of CMLink, I'll Google.

Oh it's eSim. Can't use those. Also in China you can't do that much on your phone as I recall.

Should be fine. If you use a foreign SIM they don't block much. Worst case you can use a VPN.

Lebara include China as standard on all plans now up to 30GB, along with India and the EU.

What are the chances of ID adding calls to the Roam Beyond in the near future? Planning on going to the USA in about 15 months and will need data and calls for some of the activities planned (proper calls, not WhatsApp or similar). Without calls I'll have to look into the eSim route instead.

Morning @cpsmith. Thanks for the feedback regarding calls. You can still make calls while in the USA, but they’ll be charged at 6p per minute. This is just the start of our ‘Roam Beyond’ proposition, so stay tuned! Thanks.

I’ve had a cheap sim only deal with Three for about 12 years and get roaming in all these countries:

Aland Islands            Australia
Austria                Azores
Balearic Islands            Bali - Indonesia
Belgium            Brazil
Bulgaria            Canary Islands
Channel Islands            Chile
Colombia            Corsica - France
Costa Rica            Crete - Greece
Croatia                Cyprus

Finland                Florida Keys - USA
France (Inc.Corsica, Mayotte, Reunion)
French Guiana            French West Indies
Fuertaventura            Germany
Gibraltar            Greece (Inc. Crete & Rhodes)
Guadeloupe            Guatemala
Guernsey            Hawaii
Hong Kong            Hungary
Iceland                Indonesia
Isle of Man            Israel
Italy (Inc. Sardinia & Sicily)    Jersey
Latvia                Liechtenstein
Lithuania            Luxembourg
Macau                Madeira
Malta                Martinique
Mayotte                New Zealand
Nicaragua            Norway
Panama            Peru
Poland                Portugal
Puerto Rico            Republic of Ireland
Reunion            Rhodes - Greece
Romania            Saint Barthelemy
Saint Martin            San Marino
Sardinia - Italy            Sicily - Italy
Singapore            Slovakia
Slovenia            Spain
Sri Lanka            Sweden
Switzerland            The Netherlands
United States of America    Uruguay
US Virgin Islands        Vatican City        Vietnam

A small ammount of data, but unlimited calls and texts.   So how can Id claim to be the best roam-free operator?

Morning @Zimacs. This is likely a legacy tariff. Taking a look at Three’s website for Pay Monthly SIM Only Deals, there is a daily rate depending on where you travel. Thanks!
