We love going Geocaching. It's great for kids and adults alike. Some of the finds have taken us to places we wouldn't have normally visited. Some of the hides are so creative too. Well worth a go...and it's free!

Devil’s Hole on the Jersey coast. Not suitable unless you’re fit enough to climb back up! very steep path and scary to think they used to throw people in the hole that ends up in the sea.

The one massive tip is go at least one street back from the main line and you will find better food restaurants and much cheaper drinks. Don’t get fooled with the front line hype

The hidden gem was the air conditioning in our hotel after walking around in 35 degree heat!

A hidden rooftop bar with incredible sunset views that wasn't on any tourist guide. It became our favourite spot

The gleniff waterfall in Co. Sligo, Ireland - a gorgeous walking route with lovely views

Hiring bikes in Ibiza,  saw so much more of the beautiful island this way. Had kids in tow on the back too so it wasn't easy but it was worth it 😍

Studland bay, Dorset. Feels like you’re on the beach in the med whilst actually being only 2.5hrs drive from London…

Went to Tenerife with my partner a couple of years ago. Stumbled across this charming bar on our way back from the dinner one evening. There was live music, everyone dancing, and this amazing guy playing the bongos! They even offered us free paella, it looked amazing but we were so full after our 3 course dinner! Lovely spot and glad we found it.

found this little hidden gem in Istanbul that I genuinely didn’t expect. We were walking through one of the quieter streets away from the main tourist areas and came across this tiny family-run café tucked away between the old buildings. It was basically just a few tables, but the food was unreal — proper homemade Turkish food, fresh bread and probably the best çay I had the whole trip. The owner was so friendly and ended up showing us this little rooftop area with a view over the old city. It felt like one of those places that tourists somehow completely miss. Honestly one of my favourite parts of the holiday.

On a quiet cobbled street in the centre of Cartagena I found a little hole in the wall with a bell next to it. You ring the bell and you can have a glass of wine passed through the hole in the wall!!! I only stumbled on it by accident and it was just the best. No one else seemed to have noticed it was there! But standing in the street in the sun with a crisp glass of wine and admiring the beautiful buildings was just perfect!

The best hidden gem we found as a family when i was a child , was a small lake that had formed whilst the snow was melting of the french alps. We stayed there all day around the rocks and boulders. The things we found and heard(snake skins) and hisses 😱 we soon scarppered after that discovery 😅

While wandering through the back streets of Icmeler, Turkey, we stumbled across a beautiful little restaurant tucked away in the garden of a residential house. We couldn't get a table at first as they were fully booked for the next 7 days but luckily we were there for 2 weeks, so we managed to make a reservation. It was definitely worth the wait—the food was absolutely delicious!

Puerto Morelos in Mexico. It’s sat right between Cancun and Playa del Carmen so most people just fly straight past it, but it’s still basically a little fishing village with a wonky lighthouse and a proper town square. We ended up eating tacos there most nights instead of at the hotel. The Ruta de los Cenotes just up the road is worth the taxi fare too, we found swimming in a cenote with nobody else about beats any beach club!

My favourite hidden gem was a quiet little spot we stumbled across completely by accident in Croatia. It was away from the crowds, with beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. Sometimes the places you never planned to visit end up being the most memorable part of the holiday.

Beautiful bar in the walls of old town Dubrovnik, buy a pint and head down to the sea for a dip to cool down, watch people jump in off the rocks, unspoiled fun 😊

The best hidden gem I have found whilst travelling or away would be in madeira. A wonderful restaurant at the top of the hill with a magnificent view. Restaurant Alta Vista.

Holiday in Turkey. Go on a jeep safari to end up in a nation park Sakliesent. Massive natural gorge with clay baths, rapids and sight that I can still see in my mind.

Best day ever with family and a great phone to take all the pictures and videos I still look back on.
