Bean in Dingle. A busy coffee shop that sells amazing hot drinks and great pastries. A daily visit when in town is essential !

finding out we could get unlimited ice cream on the cruise :) helped us keep cool on the 35 degree heat! Nice article about cyber security more people could do to learn the difference between hotspots.

In Corralejo last November we came across a lovely beach bar at a very picturesque half km stretch of coast called Popcorn Beach.

The beautiful white shoreline section which is made up of fossilised 'popcorn-like' red algae which has turned white, makes this so very unique. Looking out to sea from Fuerteventura makes for a real stop and take it all in moment.

If you ever visit though, make sure you're not tempted to take even one piece of this memory home with you, it's illegal and could land you with a £3k fine!

A Shark Chill Pill would have been a perfect compliment to the coolest place on the island!

Wied l-Għasri on Gozo, Malta is absolutely beautiful. A river running through a valley between cliffs out to open sea. Crystal clear water perfect for snorkelling. It was so secluded we almost had our own private beach.

The best hidden gem I found was in Japan, a ramen store ran by one old lady all by herself down some tiny back alley in Osaka. To this day its the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Only thing is it was so hidden I forgot where it was! Devastated is an understatement! 😪

Steephill Cove on the Isle Of Wight. Great beach, cafes and the best crab pasties!

Tucked away at the foot of the Ventnor Undercliff area, and only accessible by foot is one of the Isle of Wight’s true hidden gems; Steephill Cove. A great place to relax and escape from the world, Steephill Cove offers a great mixture of beautiful scenery, clear swimming waters and rock pools to explore.

The buildings in the cove make up a large part of its charm with brightly coloured beach huts and old fisherman’s cottages, with traditional deck chairs, lobster pots and fishing tackle dotted around the area.

There is a beach café to the rear of Steephill Cove which serves hot and cold refreshments and food, and there are also restaurants serving locally caught seafood during the season.

We went the same way up the promenade in Tenerife each time during our stay. On the last day we just had a few hours to spare and decided to go the opposite way towards La Caleta and discovered a good mall and other sight seeing areas, a nice cafe and just topped off a great ending to the holiday. Could have done with a Shark Chill Pill to stay cool though.

In Oleduniz in Turkey. They have an amazing day excursion to take you to a a dune buggy and ziplining place. If you go down about 150 steps whilst there and along a 10 min walk through a stream, you get to a beautiful waterfall with the clearest and coldest water you've ever experienced. I have photos of last year and this year attempting to flaunt my (non existent) muscles next to my younger brothers. Excellent location and worth the small trek!

Just found a gorgeous little hidden gem in the Lake District here in the uk, came across it whilst out walking near Penrith with waterfall and gorgeous little lake, was a total sun trap and we spent all afternoon swimming and sunbathing with our picnic.

A tiny, almost deserted beach at the end of a winding single-track road on the Isle of Harris. White sand, turquoise water and nothing but the sound of the waves, with my motorbike cooling behind me and an ice-cold drink in my hand. It felt less like finding somewhere new and more like discovering a corner of the world everyone else had forgotten.

To do both, touristy & local! Especially local to try the the national dish! Bonus if you can find one with a large cocktail to share!

Dinorwic Quarry is the absolute best hidden gem in Snowdonia (Eryri) because of its surreal, "lost world" atmosphere. This massive, abandoned 19th-century slate quarry sits high above Llanberis, offering towering slate terraces, hidden tunnels, and dramatic, crowd-free views over Llyn Padarn.

Avoid the main strips catering to the tourists. Eat like a local and you'll never have a bad meal.

One of my favourite hidden gems has to be Salcombe in Devon. It’s not exactly a secret, but tucked away from the busier tourist spots, it feels like a little slice of heaven. Beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, gorgeous little streets and the most amazing views. It’s one of those places that feels like a proper escape, even though it’s only a short drive from home. 🥰🌊☀️
