Everyone has their own colour of packing cubes that can go straight into drawers/shelves - that way the kids (and the other half) know where all their clothes are

Absolute hidden gem! Everyone goes to Sarakiniko, but Papafragas Cove was the highlight of my trip to Milos. You walk down a steep, sketchy rock path and suddenly you are in this tiny, dramatic gorge with crystal-clear turquoise water. Swimming through the natural sea caves and tunnels felt like being in a movie. Go early in the morning to get the whole place to yourself before the wind picks up. Just don't wear flip-flops for the climb down! 🌊🚶‍♂️

A tiny beach café in Devon, hidden behind a car park and guarded by seagulls. The view was stunning, the scones were perfect, and one seagull charged us a chip as an entrance fee 😀

One of the best hidden gems I’ve come across has to be Orrido di Bellano on Lake Como. We only found it because someone local recommended it, and I’m so glad that they did. It’s this incredible gorge with waterfalls, walkways and amazing views, but it feels much quieter than the main tourist spots around the lake. It was such a nice change from the busy towns and felt like we’d discovered a completely different side of Lake Como. Definitely one of those places I’d tell anyone visiting not to miss.

There's a square of bars and restaurants through a narrow walk way off Las Ramblas in Barcelona we didnt find until we were leaving but it was stunning!

Sadly now closed, but Mo's Kleine Imbiss on Urbanstraße in Berlin. Tiny hole in the wall falafel shop run by an elderly couple who moved around the tiny kitchen like they were doing a constant dance routine. Incredible food and rather fondly missed.

Not particularly cooling but...when visiting Iceland and hoping to see the northern lights , instead an unexpected volcano erupted right in front of me. Absolutely awesome sight, nature at its most unpredictable and powerful.

Smart Packing and Airport Hacks

  • Packing cubes: Separate clothes and save massive amounts of bag space.
  • Baggage claim restrooms: Use the bathrooms right by baggage claim because they are cleaner and emptier than gate restrooms.
  • Offline maps: Download local maps on Google Maps before you leave home to avoid data roaming charges

Using packing cubes helps you organize your suitcase while travelling. Also using a phone umbrella to keep your phone shaded while in the sun

My best hidden gem was found on holiday to Corfu. Me and my partner had a villa near nissaki and walked down each day to a small secluded beach, i always recommend visiting this part of the island when people are travelling to corfu.

The best hidden gem I've discovered on holiday is how nice the authentic lemonades are in Eastern Europe (Romania and Hungary), especially if you get apple, melon or rose and cucumber flavours. They come with real pieces of fruit in there so you essentially get a snack and a drink at the same time!

Just a warning that's it's not always pre-sweetened like English lemonades so you normally have to add sugar (they supply it though if it needs it!).

They're some of the nicest drinks I've ever had out there! Highly recommend.

A tiny, unnamed pebble cove in Milos, Greece. You have to climb down a steep ladder between two cliffs to get there. At the bottom, the water is perfectly emerald and completely still. It felt like having a private slice of the Mediterranean all to myself."

The best hidden gem I found was a pottery shop on Lisbon where you pay by weight. Me and a friend managed to bring back 12kg unscathed in hand luggage!

Deffo worth a trip if furnishing a new home or fancy some treat statement pieces!

My best hidden gem on holiday is the best vineyard I’ve ever been to - on Skiathos Island in Greece - Parissis winery! So beautiful, worth visiting just for the view (but the wine is also amazing!)

Hidden around the back of the Tomb of the unknown soldier in Rome is a lift that takes you onto the roof, giving the best views of Rome.
