There’s a lot of loyalty apps around nowadays. Supermarkets, airlines and other big brands all seem to have one. And that can make it tough to work out which ones are actually worth your time. And which ones you’ll want to steer well clear of. So, to narrow things down a bit, we’ve rounded up some of our favourites that definitely deserve a download.

But first, here’s a few quick points on why you should even bother with them:

  • Earn points on everyday purchases – Lots of loyalty apps let you build up points on your regular shopping, which can then be redeemed later on for cheaper prices and handy rewards.
  • Receive exclusive discounts – Members usually get access to unique offers that aren’t available to everyone else. You’ll be able to feel smug while everyone else pays top dollar.
  • Unlock special offers – From time limited deals to one-of-a-kind promotions, you’ll be able to get all kinds of goodies while you’re part of a program. And with the cost-of-living crisis we’re in, every little helps.
  • It’s free to sign up – Most won’t cost you a single penny to join. As far as we’re concerned, it’s a no-brainer!

Supermarket loyalty programs.

Get more from your big shop…

  1. Tesco Clubcard

You’ve seen those cheaper yellow prices on the shelves in Tesco, right? That’s all to do with Clubcard – Tesco’s own loyalty program. Without one of these cards, you won’t be able to buy your food at those reduced rates. So, it’s worth getting one. And just like the rest of the programs on our list, you’ll also collect points to knock money off your next lot of groceries.

  1. Sainsbury’s Nectar Card

It might only say Sainsbury’s in the title. But with a Nectar Card, you’ll collect points across the supermarket and at other retailers like Argos too. Once you’ve got enough of them, redeem them for discounts on your dinner, or exchange them for other goodies with various partner brands. It’s entirely up to you.

  1. Asda Rewards

With Asda Rewards, you’ll be quids in. It lets you earn pounds to spend in-store on future purchases. Plus, there’s personalised offers on lots of different products – and these are tailored to match your shopping habits. So, you’ll always receive relevant, useful discounts. Especially on those biscuits you always love to buy…

  1. Morrisons More Card

This one’s exactly what it says on the tin. A Morrisons More Card gives you, well, more, whenever you hit the aisles. By gathering More Points on anything you buy – whether it’s a few bits on the way home from work, or a full-on dinner party feast – you’ll save some money on your future shopping.

Travel loyalty programs.

If you love to travel, you can’t go wrong with these…

  1. Avios (British Airways)

Collect points for flights, hotel stays and upgrades through British Airways and their partner brands. Then, when you’ve got loads stored up, redeem them on your summer trip or a bit of live entertainment. It’s worth signing up if you’re always jetting off somewhere new.

  1. Virgin Red

This one works in a similar way to Avios, offering points on Virgin products and services. You can then cash them in on the fun stuff – whether that’s travel, exclusive offers, or an epic event. With loads of different rewards to pick from, there’s bound to be something up your street.

  1. EasyJet Plus

If you don’t like waiting about at the gate, get involved with EasyJet Plus. It’ll give you benefits like priority boarding, meaning you’ll barely have to queue. And with discounts available on your next flight, that future trip to mainland Europe is looking even more attractive than before…

Niche loyalty apps.

Now for a few you might not have heard of…

  1. Too Good To Go

Saving money AND reducing food waste? Sounds like a win-win to us! And that’s exactly what Too Good To Go is all about. By buying unsold food (that’s usually going out of date) from local shops and restaurants, you can grab a snack or entire meals at a fraction of the regular price.

  1. Shopmium

Shopmium is a cashback app that rewards you for buying specific products and scanning receipts. With savings on household essentials and your groceries, it’s a really straightforward way to earn cashback on those everyday staples.

So, there’s a few of the best loyalty apps you can get your hands on right now. What are you waiting for? Sign up now and start earning all those cool rewards we’ve mentioned! Got a favourite loyalty app that we haven’t spoken about yet? Tell us all about it in the comments down below.
