While cleaning your windows use white vinegar to remove the muck then follow up with newspaper, windows will be sparkling.

Denture tablets for sterilising water bottles/bladders & for removing tea stains from cups without scrubbing (leave for a few hours). Works brilliantly and is designed for things that go in your mouth!

I use a nature friendly cleaner which works wonders on everything inside and outside. Its ingredients are readily available in every day households in your kitchen cupboards. I use a solution of 1/3 white vinegar, 2/3 water, a few drops of washing up liquid and a few drops of essential oils if you have them. Pour into a spray bottle , give it a shake and it’s good to go. It’s great on kitchen and bathroom surfaces, mirrors, glass, greasy shower screens and outside it is great on windows, kills weeds and a good cleaner for inside cars.

Do a deep clean of one room each week. This way you never have to tackle the whole house in one go.

My best cleaning hack is to BLOW as well as suck. I got an electric air duster and it is so useful in combination with vacuuming to really shift ALL the dust.

I’ve never heard of one of those. I use cans of air-dust spray, but they’re pretty useless.

Microfibre cloths are my top tip!

As many others have said, lemon juice or white vinegar with bicarb cleans so many things.  If you can get it to reach, use the shower to clean your toilet!

The best cleaning hack for me is inviting people over. I think if I never had visitors, I’d never vacuum and dust! haha

If you ever get berry stains on clothing don’t bother faffing with cleaning products, just pour boiling water (as long as it is a material that can take the heat) straight over the stain and it goes immediately :)

Using Karcher of course ;)

Not a hack really, but I recently got a cordless handheld Shark, and it is a game-changer, so quick and convenient to use. I previously had a large, heavy corded VAX, which was a good vacuum cleaner but so cumbersome that I used it reluctantly. Make the upgrade if you haven’t!

My best cleaning tip…

Isopropyl alcohol is great to have on hand for cleaning electrical items safely and effectively.  Especially good for cleaning all types of electronic device screens safely and effectively. Also great for removing sticky tape residue etc.

Always clean from the top to bottom and left to right to avoid re-cleaning.

Use a dishwasher tablet for things you’d never think to clean with it.

Drop one into hot water and use it to scrub oven doors, glass shower screens, even stained mugs—those tablets are designed to break down grease and grime fast, so they do the hard work for you.

Basically, if it can survive lasagne, it can survive your bathroom… and probably do a better job than you 🫧✨

🧽⚡ My Ultimate Cleaning Hack:

Clean like you’ve just won a Kärcher… even if you haven’t (yet). 😏

I blast music,

set a 10-minute timer ⏱️,

and pretend I’ve got a pressure washer in one hand

and pure determination in the other 💪

suddenly I’m scrubbing like it’s a sport.

Because honestly…

if I do win that Kärcher,

I need a house worthy of it 😌✨

Honestly my best cleaning hack is buy something cheap then get a better one if you use it, did this for my steamer and I knew I was going to like the better one but oh my lord it is amazing.

Never use a duster ... instead use a damp microfibre cloth. No dust floats around and the surface stays dust free for ten times as long as traditional dusting.

Squirt some white vinegar and a little bit of hand wash soap into a bucket or tub of warm water to wash the car with. Then rinse off with cold water using either a leather or towel - excellent results!

Reminders on your phone top do cleans regularly, then they (usually) get done before too late!

Some of my favourites have already been mentioned:

  • Old toothbrushes (particularly good for non-stick pans as they don’t scratch the coating)
  • Microfibre cloths (amazing at quickly mopping up spills!)
  • Bicarb and vinegar (always have these on standby for stubborn stains)

And an old classic… humble tap water. I soak the washing-up in cold water then give it a quick rinse before the main event. Why waste hot water and washing-up liquid on the stuff that easily comes off?!
