My favourite walk is from Newton beach up through Newton Burrows crossing the river via  the stepping stones at Merthyr Mawr. Gives the muscles a good work out & it’s so varied, there’s always something new to see. Plus it’s rare to see anyone else. Never tire of it.

Hadrians Wall was phenomenal. Great scenery, quite accessible for non experienced hikers and exhilarating

One of my favourite walks is from Castleton in the Peak District up to Mam Tor and along the ridge and down into Hope village.

Easy - the Haute Route Pyreneen. Highlights so far include the Chemin de la Mature - and 500m path carved into the cliff face and the Breche de Roland above Gavarnie.

There is an ~10 mile circular walk (one of many) that is in the Peak District and is stunning.
It starts at Bakewell (but I can’t remember the actual places it passes through after that as it has been a long time since I have walked it) and about 6 miles into the hike you walk down a tree enclosed pathway which then opens out to the Lathkill river and this river is STUNNING! The banks are flat, so you can sit and eat your snap (packed lunch to the non Derbyshire-ites), and the water is so, so clear you can see every plant and stone and the wildlife that lives in it. It is so serene and peaceful that you come away refreshed, calm and really not wanting to leave.
Living in a very urban area, the times I’ve spent just pausing in a place like this, reminds me that there is so much beauty in the world and not just the concrete jungle I see day to day.
ALL of the trails in the Peak District are awe inspiring but this one speaks to my heart and soul.

Working in the Peak District means I have hundreds of beautiful walks on my doorstep. One of my favourites is to walk over White Edge from the Grouse Inn, then back over the top of Curbar and Froggatt Edges. If I'm pushed for time, I'll often just walk along the top of Baslow Edge as the views are incredible. Another good one for a quick hit is to walk from Surprise View over the top of Millstone Edge, across to Owler Tor and back back past Mother Cap. I'm truly spoilt.

Hallin Fell above Ullswater in the Lake District. Only a short hike from the road to the top but views are some of the best in England.

Now retired hubby and I love walking along the waterways of our lovely fenland village. We have so many different routes to choose from and as the scenery changes daily we are never bored. Always something new to enjoy. When away from home the Trans-Pennine trail is a favourite of ours for both walking and cycling. A complete contrast in scenery to the flat lands around us at home but enjoy them equally.

My favourite walk is Lunan Bay Beach , a small river side walk joins onto the stunning beach and ends at the cliffs and cave , then either go back to same way or meander along the dunes passing the little campsite . It's magical .

Can’t beat a stroll around Derwent Water and climb up the fells, like Cat Bells for stunning views and the odd fighter jet training.

I’m blessed to be able to walk down my garden and to step onto the foreshore of a beach and to walk along to a shingle point. It’s always changing with the rhythm of the tides and I love it!

My favourite route has to be the Yorkshire Three Peaks either as a complete hike to complete the Three Peaks Challenge or as individual mountain hikes. Challenging at times but great fun nonetheless.
