Motton chops are my favourite at no one for summer barbeque. Then chicken tikka, and leg pieces with corn and g onion grill make it more delicious and tempting.

favourite food item has to be a Polish specialty (especially for a grill/barbecue) „kielbasa” !

it is a sausage made with pork and seasoned with garlic, herbs etc.

its an absolute classic, a family favourite

Kiełbasa hits the spot everytime with its smoky, hearty taste, but it’s really the moments around it that make it special for me. From weekend BBQs to dinners, biting into a sizzling kielbasa, dollops of ketchup and mustard on the side, often brings back laughs, stories, and family chatter (even mending childish arguments and disagreements made along the way at the table). It’s the kind of food that’s tied to Polish tradition and comfort, turning simple evenings during the summer into warm, memorable times with people I love.

I couldn’t imagine a BBQ without it!

Lincolnshire sausages and vinegar tomato's.

Desert. A banana in time foil with chocolate buttons embedded and a shot of brandy and fresh orange juice. Allow to cook slowly while I enjoy my hot dog with onions.

Big tubs of home made Tzatiki, hummus & aubergine dip….. there are always plenty of meat options but its nice to have something other than tomato sauce to jazz up the dry bread rolls

The perfect BBQ for a burger is a tasty steak mince burger with paprika, mixed herbs, garlic, breadcrumbs, olive oil, drop of water, smoked paprika. Then smash them down thin. Cook them nicely for 15 mins then pop some tasty proper blue cheese on there, cook abit more for 3 mins till melted. Then put the burgers on a nice brioche bun and enjoy your tasty tasty burger.

Vegan sausages - everyone will say "ugh" and then nick one of yours to try them - realise there is no gristle or 'bits' in them & ask if they can put some on the BBQ

Ice. Nobody appreciates the person who brings it… until the drinks are warm and the barbecue turns into a support group.

My favourite thing to bring to a summer barbecue is definitely homemade jerk chicken, marinated with lots of spices and grilled until smoky and juicy, served with colourful chargrilled vegetables like peppers, corn on the cob, courgettes, and red onions. The amazing aromas, sunshine, and having everyone gathered around enjoying good food make it the perfect taste of summer! 🌶️🔥🍗☀️

I bring my boerewors, drumsticks and lamb chops with a side of maizemeal porridge and onion and tomato chacalaka sauce and potato salad. A proper South African braai (barbecue)

It's got to be a delicious salad to have on the side of everything, with pomegranate seeds and a sharp dressing.
