‘This isn’t’ do some amazing vegetarian lamb kebabs, they’re so delicious! You can only seem to buy them in shops during the summer, so I stock up, just wish they were all year round 💕

There's nothing I love more than some minted lamb kebabs.

So much so, that this quiz has prompted me to go and get some tonight!

Genuinely, the humble sausage is one of the most underrated foods you can throw on a charcoal barbecue.

Forget the supermarket packs – if you want the real deal, it has to come from your local butcher. Thick, juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked low and slow over glowing charcoal until the skin has that perfect snap and the inside stays beautifully succulent. There’s something about the gentle smoke from real charcoal that transforms a good sausage into something truly special.

For me, you simply cannot beat a classic, quality pork sausage. It doesn’t need fancy toppings or complicated recipes – just patience, the right heat, and maybe a fresh bread roll with your favourite sauce. Sometimes the simplest things are the very best.

But if you do want to take things up a notch, why not spice it up? A pork and chilli sausage brings just enough heat to complement the smoky charcoal flavour without overpowering it, while a pork and black pudding sausage adds a rich, savoury twist that’s hard to resist. Pair either with caramelised onions cooked over the coals, and you’ve got barbecue perfection.

The humble sausage might not steal the headlines like steaks or burgers, but when it’s made by a good butcher and cooked properly over charcoal, it’s every bit as deserving of being the star of the barbecue.
