Thanks andewhite. What does this mean for customers on ID Mobile?

No tube station Wi-Fi service for iD Mobile customers - it’s only available for EE, O2, Virgin Media and Three customers.

If you’ve got Virgin Media broadband at home, you might be able to use their app to use Virgin Media’s Wi-Fi hot-spots.

According to TFL (https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/station-wifi):

The Wi-Fi service is only available at stations.

I just joined ID mobile and used my home Virgin media Broadband account to log in on the tube. Not sure whether this works with other networks though.
