3 months Apple TV

When I took the plan out it offered 3 months, yet no email to say how to activate or get the offer., NO emails received with offer or when Sim arrived. Site is very poor in it’s setup - no live chat etc

I have an issue with getting an apple account setup, tried through tablet/phone/pc chrome/Brave/edge, I get through to setting up credit card detail and stalls because it thinks I have entered a paypall details. The webpage also asked for expiry date in format of mm/yyyy but credit card is in form of mm/yy hopefully shouldn’t make a difference. Tried waiting few days if server was having issue.

Thanks, I have contacted them and have setup an account with them and they are in need of a redemption code I have looked on your email and there is nothing obvious can you help me with a code?

Apple support are less than useless.

The billing page has 2 fields labeled street

 

The expiry date format is MM/YYYY

Debit cards are formatted as MM/YY

They have an autofill address thing, which starts when you put in your house number and street, shows my details, then when I tap it, it does nothing.

 

The phone number field is not necessary to continue, yet the area code (+44, or 0, or 0 and the 2nd and 3rd number of your phone number... depending on who you consult) is essential.

The guy in the chat said put +44 in that field FYI.

Didn't say what to do with the expiry date format though.

To top it off, after failing this cross Atlantic mess of a billing information impossible puzzle ARG it says that it can't authenticate my PayPal info.

I wasn't using PayPal. PayPal wasnt an option. If it was an option, I'd use it, because this method has not been researched or tested properly.

Apple forums suggested making an account with them first, then, once in, I could redeem the offer, I made an account, it sent me 4 emails and 2 texts with 6 digit codes to copy and paste then it told me my account had been locked.

I'm reassured in never having owned an apple device. It doesn't “just work”. It makes you work for them.

It cant even get a billing page that's not running in their “eco system” to perform it's function.

 

I was looking forward to watching at least a few of the series’ they've made as they have immense critical acclaim.

 

ID. This is a bad look for you guys. Your promotion doesnt work because the promo company is run by bad people who aren't good at anything.

 

Apple and it's user base encapsulate's the perfect disaster, that capitalism has mutated into.

 

Propaganda disguised as marketing, poor people who need expensive brands to signal they aren't poor, wealth consolidation ripping the heart out of a consumer based economic model, buying ability of the average person goes to 0.

We're back to feudalism.

Massive consolidation of wealth, not paying any significant amount of tax in any country, the UI on the phone OS is anti user friendly. The tech is under spec and over priced.

But they convinced people that it's cool to pay more to have something that's worse.

Through manipulation and lies, diguised as marketing, now people think that if you dont have an iPhone, it's because you're poor.

I don't have any apple products, and I never will, because I have self respect.

Even microsoft are getting creepy and weird, google and android are bad for data collection too. But at least I can do stuff at the software level to make them chill out.

I hope that apple goes into administration, and I'm glad that Steve Jobs died the way he died.

It's unbelievably poetic, and not tragic at all, because he totally deserved it.

His doctor's all said that he would die if he didn't start eating other things, and he ignored them, and he died.

This guy didn't do anything good for the world.

I'm going to subscribe to netflix or something.

If this gets figured out, I'd like to say that I would rather get 3 free months in solitary confinement than have had this experience inflicted upon me in the first place.

Never send me promo material again.
