Dear ID mobile,

Adding existing numbers to you.

Can I contact ID mobile direct or is everything on the Community pages?

I already have xxx for the wife with you.
I wish to port my two numbers XXX & XXX off EE to yourself. Once I get the PAC codes, how can I switch to you easy, as it appears your process isn't straight forward if I already have a number & email with you.
I've heard we have to use another email address, surely that can't be right?
I then want the XXX as the primary number.

Can I use the Refer a Friend promotion?

I see other people ask about adding another sim on your Platform & you have no simple easy find instructions for this.

Hi @MickRoberts  thanks for reaching out.

Am I correct in thinking your wife is already with iD, and you are wanting to move over also?

You can only have one number per plan, so we could only port over one number. You can do this at the point of sale, or online whenever it is convenient - Switch | iD Mobile Network

If the email you are referring to is used for your wifes account, you can add the plan to her account on the app.

You can certainly use the refer a friend, you can do this here - Recommend ID Mobile, Refer Friends, Receive Cashback

I hope this helps, but if there is anything else, or if I have perhaps misunderstood, please let us know.

Yes wife is already with ID. I took the contract out for her on my email & I pay the bill.

I want to port my two numbers over, I have two numbers on one phone.

My email is used for wife’s account.

Can I bring my two numbers over then & see all in one email?

Hi tthere @MickRoberts, yes, absolutely. You can register an account, and then add all plans under one account. Please see how to do so below:

Thanks,

Tyler

I am already registered with ID mobile with an ID mobile number my wife uses.
I have the new ID sim card been delivered today & will input the PAC code Monday.

Can I leave the new sim card out the phone as I can't afford to be without phone calls for a long time?
And then I presume I will know when the new sim card with my existing number is active, as the old sim card will stop working?

Can I then add this number (my old number with EE for 30 years) to the ID account I already have?
As I've heard on these forums people struggle adding their existing number to an account they already have with ID mobile.

ie. I don't want to add the number that came with the SIM to the ID mobile account now do I?

Will I then see both numbers under the one account?

Will I then get two lots of £7 go out the bank on different dates?
Or can I get one whole payment out the bank for both numbers?

As if this goes OK, I am then bringing a 3rd number to ID mobile as I have 3 numbers on one phone.
I also have two other numbers for work on Lebara, so you can see I want to cut my admin time down to a minimum.

Hi there @MickRoberts, thank you for your questions.

You can transfer your number from EE to us, no problem at all. Once the switch completes, your contract with EE will automatically end, and they’ll send you a final bill. You can add the iD Mobile number to your account now if you wish, and when the number switch completes, the number you brought over will change itself on the app/website. However, I’d recommend just waiting for your number to switch before registering for the app/website for ease.

You can add multiple plans/accounts to one login, so you can easily switch between them.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thanks Tyler,
I see you are an ID employee. You missed some questions???
Can you also please tell ID mobile the website is faulty & we type out long messages, press submit & get red errors at top & we've lost the whole message

Hi @MickRoberts  thanks for getting back to us, sorry we missed some questions.

I am not sure what you mean by our website being faulty, we have had no faults reported?

When porting a number over, this will be done by 10pm on the date of the switch. Your old network SIM will remain active until the switch take place. Once it switches off, your new iD SIM will be working with your own number. The iD SIM will also be active prior to the port, only with a temporary number. So you will be able to use this also.

You can find out more about the process here - Switch | iD Mobile Network

You will have a separate payment go out for each plan. You can check the Direct Debit date on the app, and change it if needed on there too.

I hope this helps.

Sian,
Thank you.
Yes website is faulty when replying with that Embed message:

It was a request from our legal team to disable Embedded Media while they review the Government’s/Ofcom’s Online Safety Act, which we’ve been made aware impacts the iD Community.  Sorry, I do appreciate it’s frustrating, and I'm pushing for restored functionality ASAP!

(The message is generated by Gainsight, our Community Platform Partner, I'll raise the error with them!)

Thanks.

Thanks for answering Sian, one question you missed:
Can I leave the new sim card out the phone as I can't afford to be without phone calls for a long time?

Hi @MickRoberts , sorry I believed I had - ‘When porting a number over, this will be done by 10pm on the date of the switch. Your old network SIM will remain active until the switch take place. Once it switches off, your new iD SIM will be working with your own number. The iD SIM will also be active prior to the port, only with a temporary number. So you will be able to use this also.’

Is this not what you meant? What SIM are you referring to? Why would it be out of your phone?

The ID SIM card you have sent me.

If I put that in my phone today, and take out my SIM card, I will no longer have my phone number I have had for.30 years till the switch takes place.

Can I leave OUT YOUR ID SIM CARD until the switch takes place?

If I put your ID SIM card in the phone today, how are people going to ring me on my number?

It takes a long time this Chat does doesn't it when people can't understand me. Do you allow phone calls to solve these questions?

Hi there @MickRoberts, yes of course. If your contract with your old network is still active, you can keep using that SIM card up until the date of your switch, which will take place between 8am-10pm on the selected date. You will need to use the iD SIM card from the switch date.

If you put in the iD Mobile SIM earlier, you can use the iD Mobile number that comes with the contract temporarily if you need people to get in touch with you.

In terms of the response times here, we’re a Community forum here, and not a live-chat or instant messaging service, and get back to customers as soon as possible. If you need instant replies in the future, we’d always advise using our live-chat:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

We don’t have a general customer service phone-line I’m afraid.

Thanks,

Tyler

Thank you Tyler,

Yes I can’t put in the ID Mobile SIM earlier, because people don’t know that number, so how could they get hold of me?

So Live chat is faster then.

No problem at all @MickRoberts, no problem at all. That’s fine, I’m just suggesting that’s an option if needed. You can of course give important people the iD Mobile number for the mean-time if needed.

That’s correct, we’re only a public forum here, so response times will vary. The live-chat is an instant response service.

Thanks,

Tyler
