Hi, I am using the sim in a garage alarm, so once the activation code is sent to the alarm I’m unable to receive it & set the app up. Is there any way round this?

What app do you mean - an app for the garage alarm?
Is the activation code from the manufacturer of the garage alarm?
If the code is from iD and you’re trying to setup the iD app, then put the SIM in an unlocked phone to get the code and setup the app.
If the garage alarm has Wi-Fi, maybe it’s got a web interface that allows you to manage SMS features and messages.
Im trying to setup the ID app. It’s sent a code to the new sim, but the alarm can only send calls & texts.
Unfortunately no Wi-Fi in the garage.
that was my next thought, just wondered if there were any other options rather than putting the sim in an old phone.

No garage Wi-Fi, then I guess next best option is pop the iD SIM in an old phone to get the activation code needed - good luck.
