If I set a bill cap of £0 does that mean I will never be billed for anything above my contract or does it mean I have no bill cap set?

You won’t be billed for out-of-plan usage. Thanks.

I am going to the Far East for a couple of weeks. If I set my bill cap to £0 will this prevent me from receiving any calls/texts whiist roaming abroad ?

Yes, @PLS123 that is right. You can also not enable Roaming on Device and iD Mobile app.. to be doubly sure!
