calling 0808 from the UK

I have just joined ID and am unable to call 0808 from the UK. Can anyone help me to fix this?

    Is it just the one 0808 number that you are unable to call?

    What happens when you attempt to make the call please? 

    Call to 0808 numbers are free so this will not be a tariff issue.
