I can not receive calls, going direct to VM, tried online chat, waited 20 mins kicked out twice. Only just joined, want to cancel but now a charge of over £70. How can I get calls on this crap network

There’s a 30-day cooling off for online purchases from iD Mobile,
Make sure you get a returns number, to avoid the early termination fee for your minimum term contract.

Use Facebook Messenger to iD Mobile, they answer in a reasonable time instead of the annoying chat line problems.

Is the correct number in your device’s settings?
