Calls to some UK numbers failing


Calls to some UK numbers fail with 'server unreachable' error.  Latest was a Coventry code 02476 to FedEx. Note that this happens to me (Android phone) and my wife (iPhone 11pro).

Both phones up to date with software, both been reset and both had settings checked and look OK.  Other calls work fine. 

Anyone got a solution apart from dumping ID? 😁

There’s nothing wrong with your iD Mobiles, the number you’ve given above simply doesn’t work. I’ve tried calling it from my landline, Vodafone Mobile, and iD Mobile, but the number doesn’t work on any of them.

Hey there ​@Barra175, we’re very sorry to hear that. Is there an issue with FedEx/the phone number at all?

 

Does this happen to any other calls you make to any other numbers?

Seems there may be an issue with the FedEx number although we (both my wife and I) have had the same issue with other numbers. 

Tried some stuff on the advice given on the chat so time will tell if they've helped.

OK ​@Barra175 , can you possibly give me an example of a couple of the numbers you are trying to dial, the full number? Say, if it is a business or something?

As I said in my original post, it was a business (FedEx) with a Coventry code: 02476706695. That's the number that you call when their app can't find your parcel.  Not that it matters as the parcel was delivered yesterday. 

Apart from that, I don't have a record of others. Sorry.

That sounds like a possible on the recipient side, are they on the same network?

Don't think so. Unfortunately I can't provide any more details or numbers as it is infrequent. As folks have said it may just be faults at the receiving end.
